Tour d'Jour

As part of the Kirkland Concours weekend, the inaugural Tour d'Jour was launched on September 9, 2011. This unique, one-day tour was invitation-only, for vintage, collectible, and modern sports cars.

The tour traveled through forests and along lakes and streams, taking in vistas of Mount Rainier, and included stops at the LeMay Museum and a gourmet bakery. Griot's Garage was also fortunate to be included as a stop on the drive!

A wide variety of automobiles gathered on our concours lawn for a barbecue and impromptu car show. From Porsche to Jaguar, Lotus to Corvette, and many marques in between... the gathering was impressive (and the weather unseasonably cooperative).

Porsche 356 Club BBQ

On July 31st, Griot's Garage hosted a barbecue for 356 Group Northwest, a local Porsche enthusiast club. While the number of attendees was lighter than expected due to rainy weather, several die-hards did arrive with their tops down and their hair wet! In all, 15 attendees drove their Porsches, along with others who arrived in their daily drivers, for a total of about 40 attendees. It was great to see so many classic Porsches gracing the concours lawn!
