The Seattle Italian Concours

Over 130 wonderful Italian cars were on display at the Seattle Italian Concours. Each year we present the Griot's Garage Preservation Award to an enthusiast who displays a vehicle that is lovingly cared for, yet has not been completely restored and is driven on a regular basis. This year's winner is Alan Chockie and his beautiful 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spyder. Alan has owned this car for over 38 years and regularly participates in rallies and driving events. According to Alan, "I was thinking of having the car repainted after the many years of use. I gave your Machine Orbital Polish and Wax system a try and, to my happiness, the car didn't need painting at all. It looks wonderful and the shine is amazing!"

Congratulations Alan, and thanks for being a customer!
Denny's BMW Bavaria wins!

Our local chapter of the BMW Car Club of America invited us back to their Concours as exclusive car care sponsor, and presenter of the Griot's Garage Preservation Award. Hundreds of beautiful BMW automobiles were parked on the lawn for judging.

When Denny's friend decided to let go of his beloved 1972 Bavaria (after years of constant urging from Denny), he knew who should be her next caretaker. This old gal is in amazing condition. With 116,740 miles, she still looks new. The paint is bright, the leather is soft, and the 3 liter, downdraft Weber carb conversion engine is strong.

When we presented the Preservation Award to Denny, you could see in his eyes that this trophy was going to be proudly displayed in his garage. Congratulations, Denny! Oh, he told me after the award ceremony that his car was sporting a fresh coat of Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax. "Must have been why I won!"
Sprite Takes Preservation Award

Once again Griot's Garage was invited to be the exclusive car care sponsor at the All British Field Meet. Congratulations to Lindsey and Craig for winning the Griot's Garage Preservation Award. Their 1959 Austin Healy Sprite Mark 1, in Old English White and red interior is a wonderful little car and was a labor of love for both of them. After many months of restoring the car to show status, Lindsey and Craig were married, and even planned their wedding date around this event!
