From the Podium

Two Customers for Life

I wanted to write to you to let you know how thoroughly pleased I am with your products. My 1994 Lamborghini Diablo VT was voted "People Choice-Sexiest Car" at the 1995 Danville, CA D'elegance and "Best in Class" by the Lamborghini Club of America at the 2006 Concorso Italiano in Monterey, CA. Quite a feather in the 'ol cap, not only for me, but for Griot's as well. The only car care products I use on my car are the ones pictured above it - Griot's Garage!

I also introduced my father to Griot's last year. He just completed a 1951 Chevy 2-door Bel Air Hard Top. He entered his first car show, at Fresno CA's, "On the Roof at River Park" and promptly won "Best of the Fifties" and a "Merchants Award". Needless to say, Dad is also a Griot's "customer for life".

The results obtained from your outstanding, quality products, and your friendly and knowledgeable staff, makes detailing our cars a pleasure.

Ron makes the switch and wins!

After using some competitor products, I bit the bullet this year and went all Griot's (in preparation for the Cinco de Mayo Concours d' Elegance, hosted by the Porsche Club of America Southern Arizona Chapter). The results were more than I could have hoped for -- First Place in Category, and Best of Class, for my 1988 930 Turbo. Tell Richard that I have just moved from a convert to a disciple.

Best,
Ron S.
Experiencing the Rewards

Thanks to Griot's products I won FIRST place at NAMGBR (North American MGB Register) in Napa, CA and then just last weekend at the All British Field Meet in Bellevue, WA for my division.

I can distinctly remember when I got my car (a 1979 MGB LE) 4 years ago, panicked because I had no idea how to take care of such a beautiful collector car. Fortunately my friends had sung the praises of Griot's Garage products, so that is the first place I went. I was warmly welcomed and none of you ever made me feel uncomfortable because I was so ignorant about taking care of a car! Over the years, thanks to you and several of your employees, I am very comfortable taking care of my car. And it's a winner... just like all of you at Griot's Garage.

Thank you for making my new hobby so fun and rewarding!

A Best In Class Jaguar XKE

This past year I completed the restoration of my late father-in-law's 1965 4.2 FHC Jaguar XKE. Little did I know of the historical significance of this great car. As it turned out, this Jag happens to be the very first 4.2 fixed head coupe made for the 1965 model year and was displayed in 1965 at the International Auto Show in Los Angeles. She was built on August 12, 1964.

As a long time, loyal, customer I thought you might appreciate these photos which represent your car care products so well. I entered the car in the 2006 Palo Alto Concourse and was awarded the first place trophy for Best In Class. As a result of this award, we were invited to show the car at The Quail during the Pebble Beach Concours weekend. Your products are great and your customer service is "best in class" too. Thank you for years of service.

Very Truly Yours

One Fine Redhead

This incredible prototype, built in 1957, was the first Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Enzo Ferrari asked carrozzeria Sergio Scaglietti to create a unique body for his 250 race cars, and Scaglietti certainly succeeded. The F1 inspired, pontoon style fenders were a radical shift from traditional designs. Powered by the first outside plug, 12 cylinder, six carb, two-cam Ferrari engine, it was raced at Le Mans by Dan Gurney.

Beautifully restored by the artisans at Dennison International in Puyallup, Washington. I'm proud to say that Dennison uses Griot's Garage car care products on all of their amazing vehicles including this best of class winner, shown here on the lawn at Pebble Beach in 2006. Congratulations and thank you to our customer.

This special Ferrari was featured on the cover of Griot's Garage Handbook 270! To see additional photos, and read more about the car, click here.

Pebble Beach Cunningham C-3

While strolling this year's Pebble Beach Concours I came upon a wonderful customer of ours and his beautiful 1953 Cunningham C-3 Coupe. Briggs Swift Cunningham built only a handful of these cars with a tube frame and commissioned Alfredo Vignale to create the bodies. The Carrozzeria Vignale was founded in 1948 near Fiat's Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy, and designed and built beautiful car bodies for many manufacturers.

The engine is a powerful 220 hp Chrysler Fire Power, V8 Hemi engine, with 331 cubic-inches, and four Zenith downdraft carburetors. It has a ladder-type chassis and a fully independent front suspension with a coil spring Chrysler rear axle with parallel trailing arms.

I'm proud to say this car won its class on the lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours this past August. The car care products on this winner? Griot's Garage, of course! Congratulations, and thank you to the proud owner (who did most of the work on this car himself).
Manny's Ferrari Wows at Cavallino

For the past five years Griot's Garage has been the exclusive car care sponsor of the prestigious Cavallino Classic at The Breakers Resort in West Palm Beach Florida. This is a gathering of the finest Ferraris in the world and brings together hundreds of enthusiasts and spectators. There are several days of vintage racing, rallies, tours and the prestigious Cavallino Concours plus a special charity event at Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago mansion.

The Griot's Garage Vintage Preservation Cup for outstanding preserved condition went to Manny del Arroz's wonderful 1950 166 MM Touring Barchetta, 0052 M. This time capsule, while unrestored, was surrounded by viewers while on display due to it's originality and wonderful preservation. Congratulations Mr. del Arroz and thank you for bringing your fabulous Ferrari. Look for Griot's Garage at next year's event in January 2008.
