Some oil mats I tested leaked through the mat and still left a grease spot on the floor! This one is vinyl backed to keep the oil on top within the woven fibers. The smaller 3' x 3' mat contains up to 1 1/2 quarts of spilled oil. The 15' x 3' "runner mat" may be laid down underneath a car to protect the floor, under a lawn mower, motorcycle or used as a wiping mat for oily, greasy shoes.
