Dealer Manager (Tacoma, WA)

Responsible for leading the Dealer-based sales and management effort for Griot's Garage in the prescribed territory including strengthening existing dealer relationships; working with dealers to identify and cultivate new business opportunities across car care and related markets; and continually evaluating current and future markets for proper dealer coverage and growth. Develop and execute on key sales objectives to achieve plan targets and stretch goals.

Primary duties:

  • Manage and grow target accounts and markets in specified region(s).
  • Identify dealer trends, product needs, and key characteristics required to be considered a top-level supplier to each dealer.
  • Interface directly with Griot's Garage company resources as needed to meet customers' and company's goals and objectives.
  • Extensive travel to existing dealers, prospective dealers, and potential event locations throughout the year. A minimum of 60% travel will be required.
  • Identify and contact prospective dealers for consideration as a Griot's partner.
  • Develop a marketing package and plan for prospective dealers.
  • Promote and establish Griot's Garage as a key strategic supply chain (product) partner and major contributor to dealer's product offering.
  • Analyze industry and customer account trends. Prepare and present sales reports on territory/account progress toward goals on a monthly basis.
  • Create and execute successful action plans to achieve assigned business objectives.
  • Assist Griot's Garage Marketing in the development of Strategic Marketing Plans.
  • Identify and promote product training and promotion/awareness tech sessions to dealers and related employees which will provide additional value to the customer.
  • Perform other responsibilities required or as assigned.

Qualifications:

  Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience and responsibility in dealer, wholesale or related business to business sales channel.
  • Excellent customer relations skills and proven results in a dealer/wholesale-based selling atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze dealer strengths and weaknesses and establish relationship with dealers to achieve consistent growth and improved year-over-year performance.

  Knowledge:

  • BS/BA desired, preferably in marketing.
  • Understand the fundamentals of car care, related products and a thorough understanding of the Griot's Garage product offerings.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and sales techniques.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Having a passion for cars is a plus and will make this position extremely enjoyable.

  Skills/Aptitudes:

  • Exhibit key account management skills including the discovery, customer qualification, consultive selling, value negotiation, and post-sale customer support phases of customer relationship building.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills. MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are a must.

  Abilities:

  • Well organized - ability to address tactical issues in the short-term while maintaining strategic vision for the long-term.
  • Must be able and willing to work and travel alone as well as with a team.
  • Must possess high-energy, a driven-to-succeed attitude, and a demonstrated sense of urgency.
  • Must understand value pricing.
  • Must be able to prepare and professionally articulate presentations to dealers and sales personnel.
  • Must be able to lead, by example, the Griot's Garage Dealer team to success with honesty and integrity.

  Physical/Mental Capabilities:

  • Able to travel via automobile, airplane, train, or bus.
  • Travel multiple week trips at a time visiting multiple cities.
  • Able to utilize telephone and computer equipment.
  • Maintain composure and professional approach when dealing with public.
  • Capable of focusing on details to execute action plans.

  Level:

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selection methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
  • Works without supervision. Must use significant discretion and judgment.

Call Center Sales Representative (Tacoma, WA)

We are currently hiring for Inside Sales Representatives. This position is responsible for responding to inbound telephone/email inquiries. We would prefer 1-3 years Inside Sales experience for this position but candidates with a sharp mind and eagerness to learn will be strongly considered. We are looking for a self-motivated, goal oriented professional who thrives in a fun sales environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Field inbound sales and customer service calls/emails
  • Capturing proper customer information
  • Cross-selling additional related products
  • Fielding technical product and process inquiries

Qualifications:

  • Aggressive, motivated, self-starter who is passionate about their work.
  • 1-3 years Inside Sales experience preferred.
  • Strong oral communication skills; able to have a well-structured conversation at every level.
  • Ability to build rapport, qualify, present, and build value for sales opportunities.
  • Ability to type 30-40 wpm.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks successfully.
  • Strong MS Windows Application Knowledge.
  • Ability to perform well in a constantly changing environment; taking on new roles as needed with a customer centric work environment.
  • Ability to understand new technologies and software for sales tracking.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
