Accounts Payable Associate (Tacoma, WA)

We have a full-time position within our team of Finance professionals! The primary focus of the Accounts Payable Associate is to accurately process all accounts payable and mail order receipts.

Responsibilities:

  • Check all invoices for proper approval and coding to GL accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of correct pricing on invoices and matching of inventory purchases with PO and Receiver.
  • Process weekly check batch run and quick checks as needed.
  • Balance vendor statements and reconcile voucher discrepancies with Purchasing department.
  • Track return to vendor and post all receivables and payments.
  • Code and track all petty cash transactions and regular balancing of petty cash.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with accounts payable.
  • This position requires heavy use of Excel, intermediate-level competence is necessary.
  • Quality and accuracy contribute directly to our success. Excellent record keeping, prioritization and organizational skills are core.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills necessary to interact with various internal departments and personnel.

Copywriter & Photographer (Tacoma, WA)

Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear, engaging copy for all channels including web, email, print, and catalogs
  • Interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts
  • Adapt brand voice to different channels and help maximize reach to various audience
  • Write scripts for product videos and adjust voice to on-screen talent
  • Proven track record of writing, editing, and proofreading
  • Stay abreast of SEO principles to maximize copy's reach

Qualifications:

Customer Experience Associate (Tacoma, WA)

We have one opening for a Customer Experience Associate (CEA) with a sharp mind, eagerness to learn, and a strong desire to take care of the customer at every opportunity. The primary duty of every CEA is to assist customers with product and service questions and requests. This involves customer-facing sales and support, in-person and over the phone. The mission of the CEA is to ensure that each customer experiences the best quality service, while maximizing the efficiency of operations.

This position will give you the opportunity to work in an iconic building surrounded by vintage race cars, motorcycles, and unique pieces of automotive history. You, and a team of like-minded enthusiasts, will be paid to talk about cars and car care products all day! Responsibilities: Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Engages customers in explaining product benefits and features.
  • Displays confidence, concern, and creativity while handling customer service issues and complaints.
  • Provides timely and organized follow-up through various methods of communication including face to face, email, telephone, live chat.
  • Fields technical product and "how to" inquiries.
  • Understands the sales process and how to move customer from initial inquiry to closure.
  • Upsell customers to enhance their product experience.
  • Ability to deescalate and handle customer complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Confident, motivated, self-starter who is passionate about their work, our customers and everything automotive.
  • Sales and customer service experience preferred.
  • Flexibility with work schedule to include Saturday and Sunday shifts.
  • Able to clearly communicate whether in person, via phone, email, or live chat.

Director of Procurement & Supply Chain Management

The Director of Procurement and Supply Chain Management is responsible for leading our organization's supply chain operations including purchasing, logistics and inventory, selection and management of vendor relationships, and strategically monitoring opportunities and obstacles impacting the company's ability to fulfill customer demand.

You will have the opportunity to champion the demand planning and supply and operations planning process, and foster stakeholder relationships as a business partner, proactively identifying areas of opportunity for process improvement, cost efficiencies and more effective cash flow management.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vendor relationships, including negotiating rates, SLA agreements and vendor scorecard.
  • Lead the procurement team in daily operations with a focus on succession planning, organizational, and talent development.
  • Use Continuous Improvement methodology and mindset to identify short-term and long-term opportunities throughout the supply chain.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sourcing, inventory strategies and policy to optimize inventory turns and cash flow.
  • Actively manage key areas of purchasing and procurement spend.
  • Monitor supply chain and market trends to ensure informed decision making on timing and impact of downstream changes.

Key Competencies:

  • Leadership style brings the ability to create an environment where people are supported and inspired to achieve ambitious targets in a challenging environment.
  • Track record of developing supplier strategies resulting in a long-term, viable supply base.
  • Previous application of continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools required.
  • Must have deep functional experience in supply/demand planning and direct spend category management.
  • Advanced to expert skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., with the ability to efficiently generate complex analytics. Working knowledge of Procurement, Logistics and/or ERP system preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or equivalent procurement or supply chain experience.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
  • Previous experience in leading and building a team is required.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with all aspects of domestic and international logistics and modes of transportation.

  • Maintain backorder status information and communicate updates.

Wages:

Griot's offers a competitive wage to our employees. New hires can expect to make $14 - $17.50/hr with wage increase at 90 days (with consideration to performance).
