We are currently hiring for Customer Service Representatives. This position is entrusted with responding to inbound telephone/email inquiries. Responsibilities:

  • Field inbound sales and customer service calls/emails.
  • Respond in kind to customer e-mails, phone calls, or traditional mail in a professional, exceptional manner.

  • Fielding technical product and process inquiries.

Qualifications:

Direct Marketing Manager/Analyst (Tacoma, WA)

Griot's Garage has been providing automotive enthusiasts with the finest, most complete line of car care products and detailing tools and accessories for over 20 years. The Direct Marketing Manager/Analyst is responsible for development and management of high-impact, direct marketing strategies and programs to maximize customer engagement and ROI. Includes providing recommendations on product portfolio, direct marketing content, advanced customer segmentation, mail optimization, and promotional strategies across all direct marketing channels (digital & catalog) using advanced statistical analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving and analytical skills and be able to combine insightful data analysis and careful planning with smart and creative marketing tactics.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales data to spot trends and make insightful recommendations on product assortment and promotional calendar in direct marketing channels (Catalog/Direct Mail and Digital Media)
  • Spearhead tests and develop financially-based business cases for new investments in offers and products to improve engagement and increase sales
  • Lead cross functional team in execution of high-impact, promotional plans for all direct marketing channels to drive incremental profits
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop long-term segmentation and personalization strategies for email and direct mail programs
  • Provide overall program management and strategic focus on lead acquisition, conversion and retention for direct mail and e-commerce platforms
  • Analyze customer file and discover characteristics of customer segments in order to maximize contribution across levels and influence new customer acquisition
  • Develop content strategy for all direct marketing vehicles (handbook, mail, web, email) utilizing consumer insights and sales analytics
  • Monitors and analyzes program campaign and channel performance to identify areas of opportunity for optimization and sales increases
  • Assists in the creation of internal analytics databases to ensure actionable outcomes for analyses and reporting
  • Draw meaningful insights by combining multiple data sources using advanced statistics and data mining techniques
  • Prepares list analysis, response analysis and marketing activity reports
  • Ensure alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with other groups and leaders to drive execution on all direct marketing activity for the appropriate areas of the business
  • Continually broaden and strengthen knowledge of analytical methods, vendors and tools

Experience Desired:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of Direct Marketing analytics experience
  • Experience with consumer products sold directly across digital media and direct mail required
  • Experience in the automotive surface care industry, working with both retail and non-retail channels, a big plus

Education/Licenses/Certification/Formal Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Formulation Chemist (Plainfield, IN)

Griot's Garage, Inc. is a growing multi-channel marketer and manufacturer distributor of its own car care line and other automotive related products. For over 20 years we have been serving the auto enthusiasts with quality products.

We presently have an opening for an experienced Formulation Chemist at our Plainfield, Indiana manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for formulating new automotive car care products from conceptualization to commercialization for the consumer market, making improvements to the existing product line, assisting with scale up and working closely with Marketing on product development and launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Deep understanding of typical car care formulations, including emulsions & surfactants.
  • Development of technical models for new innovations, claims, ingredients and technologies.
  • Develop and test new products to meet specific consumer and market needs. Coordinate with manufacturing and QC to ensure quality and product standards.
  • Provide technical assistance for the purpose of correcting problems or batch errors.
  • Strong IP track record in terms of patent development and patent review.
  • Define and provide solutions to technical problems in a laboratory environment.
  • Perform assignments requiring use and application of product development principles and techniques.
  • Research and source new raw materials and technologies.
  • Record and document experiments in laboratory notebook.
  • Provide support in scale up of new products and process modifications.
  • Work with outside manufacturers when necessary to coordinate prototypes and samples. Provide technical information to marketing for collateral and proofread copy.
  • Prepare project status reports for management.

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in scientific discipline: Chemistry, Biology
  • Experience formulating automotive, household, industrial or personal care consumer products.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good technical writing skills and communication skills.
  • Experience in the car care industry a plus and product development experience required.
