Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spider Web Halos Are Gone! This spring I purchased a bottle of Complete Polish to remove swirl marks and scratches from my new pre-owned. It may come in a yellow bottle, but it looks like a soft pink and sort of smells like bubble gum! The front, hood and sides were just terrible with fine scratches from the front to the back. Using the Griots hand held 4” with the firmer orange foam correcting pad, I started on the hood and planned on stopping there. I was so impressed on how it turned out, I completed the whole car in one afternoon by hand! I should have taken before and after pictures! Having a finish that is deep and clean of all the spider web halo is awesome. The depth of color really shows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Airplanes Although I have been using other Griot's polishing products I wanted to try something with a few less steps. As you can imagine an airplane is considerably larger than a Honda Civic. Complete Polish was perfect for the white paint on our YAK 52. It removed the surface hazing and looks great. A little wax and it holding up great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed I just finished polishing and waxing my car and I could not believe the results. First, Complete Polish was easy on and easy off. Secondly it is in the perfect range of abrasiveness. Some polishes, especially those with a product set of varying degrees of abrasiveness, take some time to figure out which to use first with with a problem. Complete Polish took care of most of the minor scratches i found and the finish was like satin. I highly recommend this polish for an all around answer for slight to moderate swirls/scratches.

It appears that Fine Hand Polish has been replaced and I can't find any reference to a replacement. I use it a lot for removing minor scratches and swirls. Which "Complete" product should I use in its place? Thanks!

Yes, Complete Polish will take the place of Fine Hand Polish. You will enjoy the increased user friendliness and improved end result. Complete Polish has better defect removal capability than Fine Hand Polish but Complete Polish will also leave a better finish, specifically in soft or dark paints. Ease of use of Complete Polish is drastically improved over that of Fine Hand Polish. Complete Polish features a longer working time, easier wipe off, and minimized dust, as well as a light filling capability to hide minor defects that are left behind and add gloss and depth.

Complete Polish was developed primarily for hand application but is safe for use on our 6" Random Orbital. For best results by machine check out our BOSS Perfecting Cream for minor defect removal and polishing needs.

I recently used the Complete Polish with the black foam pad to try to remove water spots on my car. I was able to remove them everywhere but on the hood. Would my next step be using an orange foam pad or using the Complete Compound?

Honestly you could go either way, rule of thumb you always want to go with the least aggressive method. I would start with switching to the Orange pad with the complete polish, and then if that was not working going up to the complete compound.

What is the difference between Complete Polish and Complete Compound?

Complete Compound is a more aggressive product intended for more severe defect removal. As Kim said, Complete Polish is meant to refine the finish, either after using Complete Compound or if only minor defects are present.

Complete Polish doesn't indicate in the detail section if expectable hand work on clearcoat finish?

Complete Polish can be used by hand on a clear coat finish. It will remove minor defects and add depth and gloss to the paint. It can also be used via Random Orbital for enhanced defect removal.

I am a bit confused between Complete Polish(by hand) and Complete Compound (by hand). After using Complete Compound(by hand) should I go straight to waxing or use the Complete Polish before waxing? Is there a particular order if any to these two products?
