Our Lint Free Towels are made of polypropylene instead of paper like traditional paper towels. They have no glues to break down when wet so they won't leave behind annoying adhesive residue. I used to use two towels - the first was soaked with window cleaner to wash the window, the second was the 'drying' towel. But the longer I used the second, the more wet it would become and it would leave streaks on the glass. I learned yesterday to use a third towel to remove the dry streaks. What a difference! It's like the glass isn't even there. These towels, like all Griot's products, are not cheap, but they're outstanding quality. They're sturdy so three towels can clean the glass on both of my cars. They leave no lint, and now that I know how to use them, no streaks at all. Perfection! Thanks, Richard!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THE SIZE OF OF THE TOWELS HAS BEEN REDUCED VERY UPSETTING THAT THE SIZE OF THE TOWELS HAS BEEN REDUCED.THIS WAS ONE OF MY MAIN REASON FOR THE PURCHASE,THE SIZE USED TO BE DEAD ON, NOT ANYMORE. I WOULD RATHER PAY A LITTLE EXTRA INSTEAD OF A REDUCED SIZE. POOR JUDGEMENT ON YOUR PART.

Which side do I use -silver or blue?

The Lint Free Towels do have two different sides. The lighter side is used for when you spray on the window cleaner and clean, so this will be more absorbent. The darker side you will use to buff out the window.

Are these machine washable, and thus, reusable?

Unfortunately our 150 Lint Free Towels are not reusable but we do have our Micro Fiber Glass Cleaning Cloths, item number 11096 for $19.99 or our new PFM Dual Weave Glass Towels, set of 4, item number 55582 for $24.99, both of these towels are washable and reusable.

how big are these towels ? I need a lint free window wipe for bus windows. Looking for something 24 x 24.

Each towel measures 12" x 13". If you're looking for a cloth 24"x24", about the largest and closest to the dimensions you seek would be our 100% Cotton Buffing Cloths, item# 14600, which are 19"x19" square and virtually lint-free. If you are able to substitute a smaller size, try our PFM Dual Weave Glass Towels, item# 55582, which measure 9"x9" but one of the best towels we make for cleaning glass surfaces.

can you use this towel with a solvent as a prep towel to wipe down a car final prep just before painting they have tack cloth out there that is used by most people as a final wipe just wondering if i can use this instead any information would be helpful t

No, I would not suggest the lint free towels for that purpose. Instead a lint free microfiber or the tack cloth you mentioned would be a better solution.

No you can not put these towels in the wall mounted dispensors. These towels are made of polypropylene, not paper, leaving behind no lint or glue residue. Their durable surface grabs dirt and grease. The blue roll towels are four-ply wipes have two sides.One side is perforated to soak up oil, wipe off dirty hands, or clean up tools. The other side produces minute amounts of lint when cleaning windows. The roll is 250 feet long and provides 190 10" x 15 3/4" wipes. Keep a roll on your workbench, shop cart, or use as a refill in a center-feed dispenser.
