Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best overall Detail Spray I have ever used! Speed Shine for me is a very versatile product. I use it as a lubricant when I use a Clay Bar to clean painted surfaces. I also use it as a quick Detail Spray to remove dust, tree pollen, bird droppings, etc. from my cars. I also use Speed Shine to clean and protect my O Gauge model trains. I use the one gallon size to refill my spray bottles of Griot's Speed Shine. I prefer Griot's Speed Shine to other Detail Sprays as it offers better lubrication than other products I have used and has a nice fresh scent. Here is a photo of a brand new Griot's Clay Bar & Speed Shine before I detailed my 2006 Mustang GT. The finished photos show my car after it had been polished with Griot's Machine Polish 3 and sealed with Griot's Paint Sealant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product We were first introduced to Griot's Speed Shine when we received a sample bottle at a local car show. We use it regularly for a quick clean between washes to remove dust and spots while applying a nice newly waxed shine. It is simple to apply with a little spray and a soft clean cloth. Speed Shine works so well we will be returning to Griot's to purchase another bottle or two. It's always good to have a back up since we are using it on three vehicles now. This is a great product and highly recommended for a nice clean look.

He learned of the product from a black car driver, who kept his vehicle looking showroom new with Speed Shine. I was a bit apprehensive of using a fast detailing material. I’m a bit old school; however, Speed Shine is a great product, and exceeded my expectations. Not only do our vehicles look new, but the ease of which the material is applied and it’s hold is amazing. I now touch up my SRT Jeep after every cleaning. The vehicle looks great. I just bought several bottles as Christmas gifts to spread the word, as my friend was kind enough to do for me. PS - Speed Shine is great for door jams.

I've been using "Speed Shine" on my Harley and was curious how Speedshine compares to other products like Optimum No Rinse which seems to be popular with professional detailers?

Speed Shine is a detail srpay used to remove light dust, fingerprints, etc. from exterior surfaces. It is also the primary lubricant for our Paint Cleaning Clay, Surface Prep Mitts, and Synthetic Clay. Optimum No Rinse is a rinseless wash product that can be diluted at different ratios for different purposes but it's primarily role is for rinseless washing. If you're looking for a product similar to Optimum No Rinse, our Rinseless Wash & Wax is phenomenal! It serves all the same functions as products like Optimum but it also provides durable protection and appearance enhancement.

Speed Shine would be the best lubricant for paint clay and surface prep tools, and will enhance gloss on your painted surface but does not leave any protection behind.

I bought the speed shine for my Crome wheels and works great can I also use it on my glass to bead the water

You can use speed shine on your window as a lubricant for glass cleaning clay however it will not provide any beading effects. If you are wanting something with beading effects I would recommend the Glass Sealant item 11033

Speed shine is best used on a cool surface in the shade, however for direct sunlight I would try our Best Of Show Detailer.

what is main difference between Best Show Detailer and Speed shine?

Both Speed shine and BOS detailer are amazing detailers! BOS Detailer is just as easy to use as speed shine and can be used in more ambient temperatures. Both detailers are meant to be used to safely wipe away dust, fingerprints, and light dirt that accumulates in between washes. The main difference would be Speed Shine would be the best lubricant for paint clay and surface prep tools, and will enhance gloss on your painted surface but does not leave any protection behind. Best of Show Detailer will drastically enhance color, depth, and clarity as well as improve gloss and slickness, leaving a very light protection. Best of Show Detailer also flashes fast so it can be used in direct sunlight and buffs to a brilliant shine every time.

I lightly use the Fine Surface Prep Mitt before I wax. I usually use Car Wash as the lubricant then wash it off. If I use Speed Shine do I need to wash it off before applying Best of Show wax? I think the Speed Shine is a better lubricant.

No, Speed Shine would be the best lubricant for paint clay and surface prep tools, once you decontaminate just wipe the residue with a clean microfiber cloth.
